Job Description:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding our presence in the interior design and surveying industry. Your key responsibilities will include:
Business Strategy & Growth:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the company’s market presence.
- Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, projects, and potential clients.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business expansion.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, consultants, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and secure contracts for new business opportunities.
- Maintain excellent client engagement and provide tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Drive sales growth by achieving and exceeding business targets.
- Develop and present compelling sales pitches and proposals to prospective clients.
- Work closely with internal teams to align business development strategies with operational capabilities.
Project & Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and high-quality project execution.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards when pursuing new business opportunities.
Marketing & Branding:
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that align with business development goals.
- Leverage digital platforms, industry forums, and networking channels to expand outreach.
Previous Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development within the interior design and surveying industry, preferably in the UK market.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and securing high-value contracts and projects.
- Strong network of industry contacts, including developers, consultants, and contractors.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Surveying, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant business development certifications would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, business development tools, and market analysis software.
- Strong knowledge of UK interior design and surveying regulations and business practices.
- Able to show Right to work in the UK is mandatory.
